Photos that I took during a trip to Japan
The trip took place in October of 2019, I planned it a year in advance and was able to visit all the places I dreamed of.
Japan holds a special place in my heart from my childhood with Sakura Card Captor TV shows and Nintendo games. That's why I love to showcase an album of photos from this trip.
Please get ready for a ton of aesthetic trip photos!
In just 10 days I've visited 5 cities - Tokyo, Fujinomiya, Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka.
We took several cameras with us, for Digital format - Fujifilm X100F and IPhone 7 Plus; for Film format - Nikon F5, Zenit with Fuji Color, Kodak ProImage/Gold/ColorPlus, Lomography films.
Upon arrival at Narita airport, one of the largest typhoons, Hagibis, awaited us. The weather was hot and humid, making it difficult to breathe, but my husband and I were extremely enthusiastic. Within 24 hours, all flights and trains were canceled, which ruined our train trip to Hiroshima.
Nearby Tokyo Station and Imperial Palace, Tokyo.
After Typhoon Hagibis, Tokyo. Around 3 AM walk by husband ❤️.
I visited Akihabara at 7 am, just after the Typhoon, on my birthday. There were few people outside and it was incredibly breezy due to the remnants of the strong wind, but the weather was improving. All the establishments were closed, only McDonald's started working at about 9 am and I was able to have breakfast.
In the Akihabara area, there is a small temple, which was covered with houses during the area's development. This small temple is located here, it can only be reached through the gaps between the houses. My Tiktok video about this place.
Kyoto, once the capital of Japan, is a city on the island of Honshu. It's famous for its numerous classical Buddhist temples, as well as gardens, imperial palaces, Shinto shrines and traditional wooden houses.
Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kyoto.
Nara is the capital of Japan’s Nara Prefecture, in south-central Honshu. The city has significant temples and artwork dating to the 8th century when it was Japan’s capital. Deer roam in Nara Park, the site of Tōdai-ji temple.
This is my favorite city in Japan at the moment, it left me with very good emotions and is remembered as a city that balances nature and urbanistic buildings.
Osaka is a large port city and commercial center on the Japanese island of Honshu. It's known for its modern architecture, nightlife and hearty street food. The 16th-century shogunate Osaka Castle, which has undergone several restorations, is its main historical landmark.
Meiji Jingu Gaien, Harajuku, Tokyo
This is an indoor theme park that can be enjoyed by everyone from children to adults. Let's make memories with Sanrio characters including Hello Kitty!
Ghibli Museum Mitaka, Tokyo
Shiota Chiharu: The Soul Trembles
This will be the largest-ever solo exhibition by Shiota Chiharu. The subtitle “The Soul Trembles” references the artist’s earnest hope to deliver to others soul-trembling experiences derived from nameless emotions.
Thanks Japan, I love you!
